AIESEC International Congress Team meets Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sri Lanka
Four representatives from AIESEC International Congress met the Honorable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sri Lanka, Mr. Tilak Marapana at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on 08th February 2019.
The objective of the meeting was to discuss about AIESEC International Congress 2019 and the Ministry’s role in the same. Proceedings of the conference, way forward and the support from the ministry was discussed successfully in the meeting which was concluded thereby on a warm note.
AIESEC International Congress is the biggest annual AIESEC event, it is the biggest youth conference aimed at celebrating youth leadership, cultural diversity and global togetherness. The congress was previously hosted in Sri Lanka in 1995 which led to the establishment of AIESEC in Sri Lanka. After 24 years, Sri Lanka is again honored with the opportunity of hosting the 71st International Congress in 2019.
Commencing on the 5th of July, the conference will be hosted till the 13th, with a participation from 650+ delegates from over 120+ countries. The conference will comprise of a series of vibrant events such as the Opening Ceremony, Global Village, Youth Speak Forum, World’s Largest Lesson and Sri Lankan Night.
