On 2nd of April 2019, representatives of AIESEC International Congress met with Aitken Spence Hotel Managements to officially establish a “Hospitality Partnership” between IC 2019 and Turyya Kalutara.
Turyaa Kalutara is an hour’s drive from Colombo City and 6 km from the town centre. It boasts garden landscapes, an outdoor pool with bar and fitness centre. White sandy beach, green coconut palms, waves that lap the store – that’s the description of a 5-star beach resort where IC delegates will be accommodated during their stay in Sri Lanka.
Representatives of AIESEC International Congress met with Ms. Jayawardena who formulate a strategic road map for the tourism sector of the group. They discussed the impact of IC Sri Lanka for Sri Lankan tourism industry, as the vision and objectives for this year’s conference are promoting Sri Lanka as an ideal MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions) tourist destination to young people and professionals by showcasing the Sri Lankan culture and hospitality.
One of the values that AIESEC shares with Aitken Spence Hotels is sustainability which is fully integrated into the concept of the hotel group, and as well into AIESEC organization. Hotel management is committed to minimizing the environmental impact that hotels and resorts have on the planet, while AIESEC supports Sustainable Development Goals.
CC Team is pleased to have Turyaa Kalutara as “Hospitality Partner” and give IC delegates the opportunity to enjoy inimitable hospitality even if they are far away from home. As Aitken Spence Hotels said “The choice is all yours… the pleasure is all ours”.
